@regentlodge: One of my favourite parts of the run up to Christmas is reading a different festive book each evening at bedtime. I bring out the same collection every year, with one or two new finds if something catches my eye. Most of them are secondhand treasures from charity shops or gifts from Christmases past ❤️ Maybe I shouldn’t call it an advent calendar because I don’t wrap them 😅 But honestly, wrapping gifts is stressful enough without adding 25 extra books to the list, especially with decorations to put up, the tree to assemble, presents to buy & elves to move! (Still debating Elfie visiting this year 👀) So we keep it simple and just pick the story we fancy each night.
