flashing check engine light indicates a cylinder misfiring at that moment, the stability light comes on due to the system being disabled from the misfire

This happened to me, at a dealer. Jumped on a highway (65 speeds) headed back to work. Car said “no oil” by the time I got back. Oil everywhere. Puddled on ground. They forgot something. Car never recovered, problem after problem.

I took my car once to a local chain for an oil change & a 1000 miles later the change oil light came on. I went back to my local shop after that

jiffy Lube, when they try to sell me a new air filter, they took it out of my Prius and then put it back and when they did, they got debris down into the throttle body. I drove across the road. The whole car seized up, had to get it towed to Toyota and a lot of work done to fix it. I threatened to sue them and they finally made restitution. The Toyota dealer said they clearly did not follow protocol when taking that air filter out and putting it back in and they got dirt and stuff down into the engine. I would document everything and not assume that the car is automatically. OK I would have another mechanic check it out and tell them that you're going to do that get the name of the manager at Jiffy Lube and also find out the phone number to the regional office for Jiffy Lube!

My previous car lived its entire life with the check engine light on. You definitely don’t need a tow truck, but you should definitely get it in somewhere quick.

@Nerdy Novelty Design: I went to Valvoline for an oil change and they told me I needed to change the fluid in my transfer case and rear differential and it would be $150ish each. I said my car is FWD so I don’t have either of those
