TIPS👇🏼✨ The first trimester is no joke. For me, it was straight-up survival mode. Feeling nauseous 24/7 for 3 months was the most challenging thing I’ve ever experienced. If you’re going through it, you’re not alone. Here are some things that have helped me: - Remind yourself you’re in survival mode. One day at a time. Release the guilt. - Let the tears flow. Lean on your people (my husband & mom kept me sane). Tears + deep breaths regulate your nervous system. - Get a tumbler with a straw, fill it with ice water + tart flavor (lemon, grapefruit). Lifesaver. - Prepare early: clean the fridge/house, get peppermint sprays, and know strong smells will trigger nausea. - Spend time in nature: quiet environments, beach dips, weekend getaways helped a lot. - Eat every 1–2 hours. An empty stomach = guaranteed nausea. - Stock your fridge/pantry with easy staples: fruit, coconut water, eggs, sourdough, tahini. I lived on scrambled eggs, fruit (watermelon/oranges), takeout smoothies, toast with A2 butter/peanut butter, granola with soy milk, oatmeal with collagen, GF pasta with tahini + arugula, and banana oat pancakes. If I craved something, I’d get it immediately—next day it’d be gross. - Always eat a bedtime protein snack (hard boiled egg or granola + soy milk worked for me). Eventually, I went on medication which helped ~50%. It was a hard decision, but it changed my life overnight - my mental health improved and I can eat + exercise again. You’re not failing - you’re growing a human. 💛 #firsttrimester #pregnancytips
