@loungeguru: Malaysian Hospitality on a Narrowbody | I was actually planned to fly Malaysia Airlines Business Class on the Airbus A330, but a last minute delay pushed me onto a Boeing 737 for a five hour flight into Kuala Lumpur. I was a little disappointed at first, But the crew changed everything. From the moment I stepped on board, Malaysia Airlines delivered some of the warmest and friendliest crew service I have had in Asia. A perfectly poured glass of champagne, then the signature satay chicken. And this satay was unreal. Tender, smoky, full of flavor. Easily one of the best I have had on any airline, and I told the crew that myself. The Boeing 737 Business Class cabin is in a 2-2 configuration. The seat was adequately spacious and comfortable with blue leather and USB C charging, but of course you should not expect the big suites you get on the A330. Still, for a narrowbody, it delivered more than I expected. There was no entertainment screen, but the food became the entertainment. Multi course dining on a regional 737 is not something you see often, and they ended the meal with a great bbq chicken dish. For a five hour flight, Malaysia Airlines surprised me. Great crew, impressive food, and service that felt genuinely warm.
