he still ended up being a hero, i dont like the ending not because he lost his powers but because its just the formula of every YA story, hero sacrifices an important part of themselves to defeat the villain and we get a lil timeskip and everyones happy and our hero manages to keep going despite the loss. divergent, hunger games, the matched novel series, its all the same.

The reason he accepted it was because he realized for you to save people you don’t need powers you just need to be someone who will do whatever it takes to make sure someone smiles at the end of the day and he realized teaching students is another form of saving them because they will learn to use their powers and won’t go through what Shigaraki went through
