Many need to hear this not just women. Working in physical therapy and majority of my patients say…well I walk every day. But it doesn’t load the bones 🦴 for increase strength.

I walk 3.5 miles 3 days a week and lift weights 3 days a week. I am much stronger than any of my friends and can still do any physical activity I want to do. Weightlifting will give you a much higher quality of life as you age.😍

I’ve been afraid to exercise since my heart event. In April 2024 I had a drug-eluting stent (2.9 mm × 22 mm) placed in the proximal LAD after presenting with left jaw, neck, back, and central upper abdominal pain. Angiography showed a chronic total occlusion of the proximal-mid LAD, but fortunately it was well collateralized, so I was managed with PCI and medical therapy (including a Rosuvastatin+Ezetimibe+Clopidogrel+Aspirin+Ramipril), CAC in LAD is 113

I work with seniors 55 plus. We have a machine that vibrates that some of our 80 plus use. It is supposed to help with bone density, balance etc. Is it actually helpful for them. Some of those using it use a walker full time.

I had a SCAD MI and I am not allowed to lift heavy. I do lift light weights and walk 5-6 days a week. Does light lifting help?
