I thought USA is all about never forget, never forgive😅😅😅 It was USA military intervention into the china civil war and subsequently the Congress passing Taiwan bill AFTER US government agreed to one-china policy that led to today's situation. Majority of Taiwanese can trace their roots back to mainland china within 2 generations. The sentiments on the island are attributed to Japanese colonial occupation and gcide, USA propaganda for decades.

ROC in Taiwan was entirely wiped out as an existing government of a country in UN Resolution 2758, A Taiwan country never existed, not even declared. Status of Taiwan is determined by the allied countries after WWII, including US, UK, China, and USSR - in Cairo Declaration, Potsdam Declaration, the allied countries commanded the Japanese to return all stolen islands, including Taiwan. The Spratlys in South China Sea was returned and facilitated by US to China, reoccupied by China after the war. This was included Japan's Instruments of Surrender. UN Resolution 2758 made it clear that only PR China to be the legitimate representation of China, wiping out the existence of ROC and kicked out its existence out of UN. 2758 means Taiwan is a province of China - UN on video - "Taiwan is a province of China, says UN spokesperson" (YouTube). Scope of Taiwan province actitivies in terms of foreign affairs, status in international orgaizations, activities, almost entirely governed by PR China. US suffers from double forked tongue syndrome as always - wants to get benefits in both ways - committed to One China Policy with PR China, but wants to prostitute Taiwan after US betrayed Taiwan in 1970's already.
