i think the cave is where the mindflayer took control of henry. henry as a child was described as sensitive, quiet, and different. he felt alone and that’s what the type of kid the mindflayer targets. i think because he was so young the mindflayer was able to manipulate and reshape his mind and his thoughts. vecna tells Will in the last episode that kids are easy to control or manipulate or wtvr he said and i think that the mindflayer did exactly that to henry, and then used henry as a vessel or a physical form to change/take over the world. i think the reason why henry is so afraid of the cave because the cave is where his mind got corrupted and it was a traumatic event for henry, th cave is where henry and the mindflayer first meet and the cave is where the mindflayer took over henrys mind. i don’t think henry was born evil. henry was born with his abilities which made him feel alone in the world and different, which made th mindflayer drawn to henry and manipulated his thoughts. henry didn’t have a support system like will or eleven did so the mindflayer was able to easily manipulate him and change the way he viewed the world. i used chatgpt to kind of help me organize my thoughts and help me to kind of break down my theory of henry and the cave and why he’s so afraid of it. ill put the screenshots of chatgpt in the reply it might explain it better than me
