HIGH PROTEIN BREAKFAST BAGEL MEAL PREP These high protein, lowcarb breakfast bagels come in at just 335 calories with 32 grams of protein and less than 8 net carbs. For comparison: a dunkin donuts bacon egg and cheese has 520 calories, 63g net carbs, and 23g protein! These gave 35% fewer calories, 40% more protein, and 87% fewer carbs. Here is how I meal prepped 4 for the week. 1.Grab your high protein bagels. I used @EATROYO bagels. These have just 80 calories, pack 10g protein, & have just 6 net carbs. Slice them in half, set aside. . 2.Next, the bacon. You can use regular bacon, beef bacon, or turkey bacon. I cooked up 8oz local bacon. For easy cleanup my favorite way to make it is to lay out the bacon on a baking sheet and pop it into the oven at 400F for 20 minutes. You can also airfare these. It comes out perfect every time. Layout paper towel on a plate and add the bacon to cool off. This also removes excess fat that you dont need. I will use 2 strips of bacon for each sandwich, but you can do less or add more. . 3.Next, is the eggs. I whisked together 8 eggs. Add to a cold ceramic pan. Bring it to low-medium heat, and gently bring the eggs back and forth until almost cooked through. Then add a pinch of salt and fresh cracked pepper. Turn off the heat. Cut the eggs into 4 Servings. Each breakfast bagel gets 2 cooked eggs. I cut these in half again, as I like to layer my breakfast sandwich. . 4.Finally, pull it all together. Add hot sauce or sriracha at the base of one of the bagels. Then add a layer of egg, a small handful shredded cheese, 1 slice bacon cut in half, then a little more egg (each egg layer is 1 cooked egg), a little more cheese, and finally, another slice of bacon cut in half. . 5.Put the other side of the bagel on top. Wrap it in parchment paper or aluminum foil, and pop this in your fridge or freezer. . When you want to eat, just pop it into the oven, air fryer, and enjoy. . If you make it, be sure to let me know on SHREDHAPPENS. . . . #mealprep #lowcarbrecipes #lowcarb #keto #ketorecipes #highprotein #healthyrecipes #goodmoodfood
