Erm people weren't understanding my comment, so here we go: Cyrene is represented as a bride because she is in love with and committed to humanity, it's not a platonic love, she always referred to the story of Amphoreus as a romance story, and although Elysia is indeed a lesbian, Cyrene is still a distinct character from her. Cyrene trailer is pure fanservice for Caelus x Cyrene and her marriage to humanity (represented by Caelus), and he is...A man, so it's not that I find people's headcanons invalid, but meaningless (which is fine because headcanons can sometimes be meaningless, but not canon). Also the character's story is very beautiful, her commitment and love for humanity is admirable, her act of sacrifice, everything is very well done and she shouldn't be reduced to just Elysia's counterpart.

"complex" and it's the 2 characters with rarely any reactions outside of "I love this world! I'll sacrifice my own happiness for others!" I get that they definitely have depths in their own niches, but there's so much more characters that deserve the "complex writing" than these 2. They aren't getting any more "complex" than this. Rather, they're SO simple it makes it hard to relate to their overly innocent ideologies. Heavy on Cyrene since Robin's more justified.
