A pretty obvious subplot that runs through both movies is how quickly and easily the Ozians fall for propaganda. Fiyero even says, "People are so empty-headed, they'll believe anything!" It's not exactly that far-fetched that the Ozians would believe whatever Glinda says without question.

Lowkey this bothered me in the movie, especially when at the end of the movie them the munchkins were asking questions. Like “what happened to the wizard” “what happened to the wicked witch” like the first movie is her explaining their friendship and then at the end of the movie, she doesn’t tell the people that the wizard was a fraud, she doesn’t even defend elphaba by saying she wasn’t bad 😂😭.
