Remember that it took the US 4 years to defeat a bunch of starving barefoot farmers, and since many southerners had family that fought for the confederacy, it is our heritage. It’s Kinda like how if someone’s great great grandfather is from Mexico, they have Mexican heritage. I do not support slavery, and love my country, but you cannot say something isn’t someone’s heritage simply because you don’t agree with the laws of the country that someone has heritage in.
