There's no younger generation that would have a role model like we had growing up. We didn't know anything about their private life, we just saw them on screen. And what we saw on screen was Van Damme, Stallone, Longrun, Schwarzenegger, the list goes on. And this is who we aspired to be like, strong men. Entiendo lo que dices, y hay algo realmente especial en la forma en que vimos crecer a nuestros héroes. Esos personajes más grandes que la vida - Van Damme, Stallone, Schwarzenegger - nos dieron algo simple y poderoso a lo que aspirar: fuerza, determinación, resistencia. No nos preocupamos por su vida privada porque la inspiración que tomamos de ellos fue directa y pura.... Pero no creo que la generación de hoy esté completamente sin modelos a seguir. Sus héroes simplemente se ven diferentes - algunos son atletas, algunos son creadores, algunos son personas que muestran fuerza de manera más tranquila y personal. El mundo ha cambiado, así que la forma en que las personas se conectan con sus ídolos también ha cambiado... Y honestamente, no hay nada de malo con reconocer que esas estrellas de acción de la vieja escuela ayudaron a moldear quién eres. Si Van Damme te empujó a ser más fuerte o disciplinado, eso es algo que hay que apreciar. Lo que más importa es tomar las partes que te motivaron y aprovecharlas en tu propia vida... Al final, cada generación encuentra a alguien a quien admirar. Simplemente crecimos en una era en la que nuestros íconos fueron tallados en puro músculo y misterio y hay una especie de magia en eso.
