It's not that they are bad shots. It's tgat the heroes have plot armor.

This comes from the original Star Wars that they were bad shots but what people don’t realize was the storm troopers were told to not hit the heroes so they could escape the Death Star and lead the empire to the rebel base. Now Storm troopers being a bad shot is a meme. Obiwan himself said only Storm troopers aim was so precise when they found the Jawas vehicle.

so hear me out what if it's not the storm troopers that can't shoot what if Darth Vader used his position to mess up the manufacturing so the blasters weren't accurate or less accurate either as part of a long term plan to over through the emperor or because he's not fully intuned with the dark side and some parts of his light randomly shown through......I mean the clone troopers were super accurate things didn't change until after that

It’s crazy that they are bad shots cause before the were Stromtroopers there was clones which was a clone of the Mandolorian Jango Fett and they are master marksman even if Vader sabotaged the making of the weapons being trained by clones before they became stromtroopers they would’ve have the knowledge to ne able to fix and improve on there own weapons just my opinion could be wrong

maybe it's the jedi using the force to deflect the shots around them and those close to them and because you can't see the force it only looks like the storm troopers can't hit their targets.
