They built it for first person so that you be more immersed with your character and made the animations around that. This is not why it’s first person only

The reason it’s not in 3rd person is because V is dying and they want you to see the glitches/hallucinations from their eyes and perspective. It makes no sense for a camera to be following V around, glitching etc.
