I’m a knitter and work for a local yarn store. A girl wearing a Babaà came in last week and I swear to god I thought “well, that’s not the worst first attempt at a sweater I’ve seen.” These sweaters are ethically made, which is fantastic, but the scaliness of the wool they use and the actual knitting of the garments has stopped me from purchasing one. Especially for the price.

Honestly…that collar looks nuts. I have a babaa sweater I bought from someone and the way the collar is stitched on is WAY too tight and it looks like the same thing is happening here. I’m a knitter and I would never be okay with a collar that looked like this. You can try wet blocking as another person suggested or honestly I might return this…especially if it doesn’t look this way on the model!

Not a fan of the collar fit as a knitter. If you want a fun hobby you could think about knitting up your own dupe! The lakes pullover but Ozeta is a popular dupe and is sooo pretty. Then you can tailor it to what fit you would like. It's a good starter sweater too with videos included!

Girl get the no15 instead I’m telling you!! I initially was going to get yours but didn’t love the neckline and the shorter sleeve length. I find the silhouette on the 15 to be so much more flattering - I have a sweater collection vid if you want to see how it looks on me. I’m 5’2” for reference!

I think it’s totally okay to not like something just because everyone else swears it’s the greatest thing ever. Like what process are they telling you to trust? Send her back- tons of good brands that’ll make you feel better!

It’ll shape to you, when I got mine I thought, “oh god I look like a circle” but it drapes as you wear. It’s a piece you’ll find yourself reaching for a lot! And you’ll wear it decades to come!
