@silverliberation: Today was my latest orthodontist appointment with Dr. Manuele @Hamilton Manuele Orthodontics and it’s another step in my post tongue tie release and MARPE expansion journey. We are so close to the finish line… but not quite there yet. My bite is still slightly off and that one stubborn front tooth needs just a little more uprighting before I can move to the final phase. That also means I can’t get my sleep apnea appliance yet which feels heartbreaking because I know it’s the last missing piece. My sleep has been so rough lately and the snoring is new for me. Sleep apnea affects your brain, mood, hormones and long term health more than people realize, and I’m so ready to feel rested again. I’ve done the tongue tie release, the MARPE expansion, myofunctional therapy, and months of aligners… all of it has helped, but this last step is the one I’m waiting for. I walked out of the appointment wanting to cry, but I know I’m still moving forward. One more phase, a few more trays, and then the sleep device. If you’re going through MARPE, airway work, adult orthodontics or sleep apnea treatment… I see you. It’s a long road but it’s worth it.
