I would look into insulation blinds like honeycomb/ cellular shades! They help with insulation so you stay warm in the winter and cool in the summer and you don’t have to keep installing these every year. I promise this isnt an ad just something I learned from my sustainability degree

For anyone curious on why this works: air is pretty much the best insulator when it comes to heat transfer, so by adding the thin plastic, you're really adding an air barrier that the heat has to fight through to escape the house.
