I told my daughter when she lies I can see a red dot on her forehead so when she’s lying she puts her hand on her head to cover it up 😂

I told mine that their ears turn red when they lie, they would then cover their ears. That is how I knew they lied. 🤭

I hope you’d only do this if you’re 110% sure she’s lying. My biggest pet peeve is being accused of lying when I’m not. I’m seriously scarred from experiences in childhood when I was being honest and wasn’t believed.

My dad used to put the recorder in my room when I was throwing tantrums ab having to sleep in my own bed and not my parents and tell me he was gonna show my friends at school and that he was recording me acting like that 💀 i remember crying and begging him to not do it

As someone who chronically told the truth but was told I was lying I think this could really mess with her and cause her to be anxious even when telling the truth and make her panic and over explain herself cause she doesn’t feel like she’s believed

my grandmother told us our tongues turn black when we're lying 😂 so when we would lie, she say "stick out your tongue!" and when we WERE LYING, we'd obviously hesitant 😆

This could be a moral OCD trigger event, please reconsider training your children's nervous system this way. Short term results are not worth the long term affects of this type of conditioning - it really is that deep. As a fellow parent I am as gently as possible recommending the book Adult Children of Emotionally Immature Parents by Lindsay C. Gibson. I empathize deeply that you're doing your best from what you've been taught and I believe in your ability to expand that knowledge for the better.
