High visual-weight makeup appears stronger, more defined, and more “full glam,” even when there isn’t much product on the face. The features look sharper, darker, and more sculpted, so the overall look reads as heavier and more intentional. Low visual-weight makeup, on the other hand, appears softer, lighter, and more natural, even if the person is wearing a lot of product; the features look diffused and blended into the skin, so the makeup reads as subtle and effortless.

guys, she’s right. I’m high visual weight too. When you have features like big eyes and big lips, putting a little bit of liptint and CC cream isn’t gonna do much for you. It barely makes a difference, so when you do full glam, same thing. Your features mean you already have a lot going on; it’s not going to make much of a difference.

It’s nothing to do with high or low visual weight. If you do your full glam too glowy it’s just not going to give full glam. It needs to be matted out to look it’s a lot of makeup. I used to wonder why my makeup didn’t show up in pictures and I figured this was the issue. I have high visual weight too the makeup just needs to be matte for it to look full glam on anyone
