You’re so right. My mother didn’t have a single friend and she hated social events

See I feel the opposite my parents where very socially confident in public and it made me more socially introverted because I knew they had everything covered and I could just follow around like a thoughtless puppy lol.

As a kid who grew up with two social parents it didn’t even occur to me other people didn’t have the modelling that came naturally to me

Having parents that know how to host is another social skill. I did not and figuring it out as an adult is so weird.

Parent tip: make your kids order their own food. Pay for it of course but order your food and then turn to your kid and tell them to order theirs. Help if they stumble and tell them good job.

It’s not having socially confident parents it’s having parents that give you the confidence to say whatever you want. You can have socially confident parents but if they always tell you to stop talking, you might not be as confident even though you’re a better talker than someone who grew up with parents who let them have the confidence to say whatever they want

Are there any specific questions you have about social confidence? Maybe people out here with those skills can offer you advice. You are already charismatic!

If your parents are popular, their friends will be kind to you. If people don’t like your parents, they won’t say hello to you.
