Teddy Roosevelt went blind in his left eye while he was the president because he was boxing at the White House.

Yep, I’d PPV for this. And it’s a win either way - if he actually can throw down (even if he loses), he’s the real deal. Awesome. If he falls apart, welp, illusions shattered.

He reportedly fenced single-stick on a regular basis, but that's not necessarily evidence that he was any good at it. For example: *gestures broadly at myself*

the asthma thing is actually effective because of what asthma is and how the childhood body exists. so in asthma, it is specifically caused because the air sacks that hold the air in our lungs have holes in them. it can ONLY be reversed naturally in childhood because the body is in such a state of development and growth it has an abundance of fetal stem cells still to help repair damage and grow healthy cells where needed. the more you agitate and use a damaged area the more signals get sent to repair the area, the faster the damage is repaired as long as you dont do more damage. so going for light hikes in mountains with changing levels of air density forced teddies body to repair the broken sacks in his lungs. thats actually why doctors, with otherwise healthy kids, will tell you to put the kid into some kind of light sport or play outside for an hour or 2 a day. cuz that has the same effect.

I mean, Donald Trump is technically a historical figure. History isn't just stuff from 100+ years ago. It's still happening right now.

Theodore Roosevelt was never an impressive fighter. His actual wrestling and boxing record were "mid". He was enthusiastic but not skilled. You'd wipe the floor with him. Now 6' 4" 240lbs Big Bill Taft, Heavyweight champion wrestler in college intramurals on the other hand...

I don’t know if he was actually tough but he is the nerdiest looking president of all time and I would definitely believe it everything about him was just propaganda. I also wouldn’t be shocked if he brought me down with a single punch at like 40% strength

also, teddy gave the company the permission to use his name and actively endorsed the name teddy bear BECAUSE it was a children's comfort toy and a freaking bear, both great things in his idea. he was good at judo compared to other western judo boxers at the time cuz he actually learned the traditions and culture behind it, definitely wasn't as good as modern mma but not even judo masters at that time where as good as mma or even judo masters today. his hunting style was literally that of the indigenous people's that he learned from and there tribes vouch for to this day because he actively lead HUGE landmark leaps towards the land back goals as well as native rights and freedoms. he did not like the idea of nightgown being called teddies because it felt like it promoted infidelity and didnt feel comfortable with the idea of other women calling his name other than his wife. like how did you come up with the right answer but with literally everything about the man reversed?
