Here’s my theory, either Marie or the boys do something to make homelander lose his powers, so then he fights the boys and them lot, and the scene where he’s punching someone, I think he’s punching in his no-power form and it might be one of the boys he’s punching to death. Then the laser scene is probably him facing but he’s for the final fight and he takes a dose of compound V to get his powers back, but because he’s a project odessa he needs a way stronger dose than the usual, so just when he’s about to kill butcher with his powers, the v overdose affects homelander badly and butcher just ends him finally.
