@velcheva.vibe: A TRADITIONAL RECIPE FROM GUANGDONG 🇨🇳 Wrapping up my China trip with a truly authentic dish — clay-baked chicken👀 This is an old cooking tradition that used to be common in almost every household, but nowadays you’ll hardly find it anywhere — foil has taken over everything. Back in the day it was a whole ritual: the chicken was wrapped in banana leaves to trap some air and create gentle natural pressure, then covered with a layer of clay and baked. The result? Unbelievably juicy, tender, fall-apart chicken with a deep, rich flavor🍗 I recreated the technique as close to the original as possible: made a thin clay shell (about 1.5 cm) using regular craft clay. That’s enough for it to dry quickly and “seal” the chicken inside. I’m not suggesting you bake this for Christmas dinner 😂 But as a fun culinary experiment? Absolutely yes — it’s a whole new flavor experience! Would you try making it? 🫶🏻 #reinavelcheva #byvelcheva #queenvelcheva #chinafood #chiken
