Marty first gained attention in the early ’80s through his work with Hawaii and then Cacophony, the groundbreaking guitar duo he formed with Jason Becker. Their albums Speed Metal Symphony (1987) and Go Off! (1988) helped redefine shred guitar and pushed the boundaries of technical metal. In 1990, Marty joined Megadeth, marking the start of the band’s most celebrated era.
