This month is Domestic Violence Awareness Month. For 6 years as of last month, I’ve been free… I had the strength to finally leave the night he gave me a Bloody nose in both nostrils, displaced jaw, scratches and bruises, two black eyes and a broken toe. I was 4 weeks pregnant. I called my family (They already knew he was abusing me, he punched me in the face so bad at my SISTERS house on Christmas, I was bleeding so bad my blonde hair turned red, my shirt was covered in blood..) He body slammed me on the concrete. He called me VERY foul names constantly. He beat me and degraded me frequently around my 3 year old son 😢 he Graped me minus the G, in my sleep… i woke up with my pants off and I was laying in my own urine…. I was drunk and I REMEMBER telling him no that night. Multiple times. He said I rubbed against him and he thought that was a yes…😢 my family came and got me at 3AM that morning when I told my mom I wanted to come home…. I was on probation at the time and I was drunk and an addict unfortunately. I was on a substance (❄️) ; he got me addicted.. so I couldn’t go to the police. He got away with what he did… I would have went to jail too. (I DIDNT know I was pregnant until two weeks after I left and got sober cold turkey as soon as I found out. - I have been sober for 6 years now!!!) I am glad I was able to get out. Some people aren’t as lucky… I spent 3 years forced to think that hell is a place called home.. my husband was at my house that night for a party we had. After my ex beat me bloody, my husband helped me get my stuff and waited with me till my sister and brother came to get me. He left after. A week later we got to taking… 2 weeks later we found out I was pregnant 😔 I wanted an abortion. I didn’t want anything to do with my ex.. my husband said if I kept the baby, he would raise it as his own. And he did. Took care of me my entire pregnancy. It was a girl, my ex moved hours away and court ordered him supervised visits. He didn’t like that. Came for TWO sessions when she was a little baby and hasn’t seen her since. My husband is her daddy and the only daddy she knows.. god sent him to me that night.. if he wasn’t there that night idk if I would have gotten out. He saved me… 6 years together and 2 years of marriage. I’m healing. I’m still traumatized and I push my husband away… but he understands I came from a life full of abuse, S/A, Grape, pain, hurt, crappy relationships all my life.. mental illnesses (Borderline personality disorder, anxiety with panic attacks, depression w/ shewersidal idealations, PTSD, ADHD, Bipolar w severe manic episodes, insomnia..) he loves me and is the sweetest man alive.
