24 Days of Christmas Appetizers Pt 14 🎅🎄 Spinach & Feta Honeycomb Bread  To see how the dough is made check the first post at the top of my page “brioche buns” Dough: 260ml lukewarm milk (or 310ml with no egg) 7g instant yeast  30g sugar  1 x egg  500g bread Flour  Pinch salt  100g Butter  Filling: 150g fresh spinach chopped  1 onion chopped small 150g Feta Cheese 100g grated Mozzarella  1/2 tsp oregano  Topping:  Milk for brushing  Sesame seeds 30g melted butter  1-2 tbs honey  Start by making your dough Whisk milk & yeast, add sugar, egg and whisk. Add flour & salt and mix till shaggy. Knead for a few minutes till it just comes together and add the butter to the middle. Mix and squeeze it in with your hands. It will be all over the worktop and you’ll think it will never come together but keep kneading and the dough will pick up all the butter along the way. Knead for 10 min total and cover and rest for about 1-1.5 hours. Saute your onion and feta with salt pepper and oregano. Let it cool on a plate and then mix in  with well crumbled feta and the mozzarella. Decompress your dough and weigh or cut into small pieces (I weighed 20g for each) you can make them as big or small as you like. Shape into a rough balls and keep covered while you fill them so they don’t dry out. Flatten down each piece and add filling making sure you can close it without it escaping. Squeeze it closed and seal the edges by pinching. Place in a dish lined with parchment paper. Cover and rest for 30 min. Heat the oven to 180C brush with milk and sprinkle with sesame seeds. Bake for 10 min at 180C turn the oven down to 170C and bake for another 8-12 minutes.  Brush with melted butter and honey as soon they come out. Enjoy hot or cold. I froze the leftovers for my kids lunchboxes and put them direct from the freezer to defrost straight in the lunchbox. Enjoy D 🫶 #fyp #spinach #feta #appetizer #partyfood
