For the first time, I fully agree with you—though you left out an important aspect: Moses gave the Law written on stone tablets as a means to pursue righteousness, but Jesus writes the Law on our hearts through the Holy Spirit, bringing the new birth that imparts Christ’s righteousness within us. This contrast highlights the shift from external obedience under the old covenant to internal transformation under the new. The Law on stone exposed sin and pointed toward holiness but couldn’t change the heart (Jeremiah 31:33; Ezekiel 36:26–27). In the new covenant, the Holy Spirit doesn’t just instruct—we are *born anew* (John 3:5–6), and Christ’s righteousness is not merely imputed but *infused* into our inner being, enabling us to live righteously from the inside out—not by striving, but by the indwelling life of God. This is grace: not rules to follow, but a Person to embody through the Spirit.
