@popwixxy: edit: it’s come to my attention that it’s also a slur, but i also don’t think everyone using it doesn’t know both meanings and use it as such. #fyp #tpusa #itsalwaysthatdeep #fyppppppppppppppppppppppp #dogwhistle
As a gay person, they were calling Bad Bunny a f****t. The F-slur originally meant a bundle of sticks, like the ones they used to burn us, hence us being called that as well as flaming/flamers.

'Bundle of sticks' is another term for f----ts aka the slur for gay people. He's calling Bad Bunny and his supporters a slur.

I'm so tired of people not realizing that two things can be true at once. everyone just want to fight and argue about how right they are

when i first saw something about this i assumed they were using 'bundle of sticks' as a replacement for the f slur since it's also the name of an archaic unit for bundles

They’re definitely referencing the F slur. However they both come from the same root word! Fascis is Latin and just means a bundle or group of things, most times specifically wood. This eventually turned into a symbol of power for the Romans — Fasces. Mussolini adopted this symbol for the “Partito Nazionale Fascista” or the “National Fascist Party”, often using the bundle of sticks with an axe as a symbol for paramilitary power and organization. For the F slur, it kept the meaning for a bundle of sticks but it got bastardized through some early French and English grammatical structures. Latin: Fascis -> Old French: Faisceau -> Middle French: Fagote -> Middle English: Fagot -> Modern English: F slur. This derived from the French term Fagote meaning a bundle of sticks to be used for fire. By the time it reached England it exploded into several terms that could be used as “fuel” or “burnt out.” So if you’re tired at work you might take a “f slur.” Around this time England was also picking up on tobacco use, so it was also common for it to mean cigarette since it’s also a small stick that you burn. This eventually got turned into a derogatory term for young men who didn’t work very hard, “he’s always taking an f slur, so he is one.” Eventually it became directed at gay men, of which it wasn’t unheard of for folks to lynch gay men by rolling them up into carpets and burning them — “smoking a f-slur.” It’s ironic that these two are often used by the same hateful groups whilst also having an etymological ancestor.

I think it’s actually a f slur ref😭 I’ve actually been called that before but didn’t really put two and two together. Was called a “big bundle of sticks” then when I asked what that meant they js straight up called me the F slur. Now realizing while typing this, that it was also probably a death threat😭

close, but in Greek, a bundle of sticks was referred to as a F-slur. in general, they're calling them a gay person.

As lifelong victim of bullying for being gay, “bundle of sticks” is a pretty common euphemism for baguette. However ur research did teach me something new tho, but genuinely idt maga is smart enough to come to ur conclusion lol

Definitely a dog whistle, but not new at all. Fred Phelps who ran the Westboro Baptist Church specifically used the F-slur because he says gays should be burned like kindling. A photograph of a cigarette can also be used interchangeably, as that was British slang for cigarettes until very recently (because cigarettes are bundles of burnable plant matter).

this absolutely. Fascism was named that by Mussolini after the word Fasci which means a bundle of sticks, due to the fact that one stick alone is prone to breaking but a bundle is much stronger. that could for sure be a new dogwhistle used by maga people
