the haters want art that's understandably appealing or interesting when perceived without context, knowledge, or history. they want something a stranger from another culture could go "wow" not as a question "why did they tape this banana to a wall?" ... this is my uninformed perception, so like, thoughts?

I love people who hate modern art because their hatred proves that it *is* art. I love having an emotional response and I prefer being moved, even to tears or anger, over the indifference I get from some "great works" that do nothing for me

I so enjoy being able to respond to your posts in context: This coaster is 1/8 of a set of letterpressed swear words available on my website, called Cursters. Most of the were done in response to requests by local baristas. So I’ve come to call them the Barista set as well. Oh, and since I have since sold the press I printed them on, they are now rare as well.
