I had to mentally prepare for the comments prior to posting, but here we goooo! 💁‍♀️ Make sure you read the caption before commenting… I know my last expense post stirred up a lot of opinions, so I’m going to answer as many questions as I can here 👇🏼 April 2026 expenses as a full-time RV family of four… two weeks in the Florida Keys + two weeks in Miami ☀️ A few things to understand first: • This is OUR lifestyle… not the only way to do it • Yes, it can be done cheaper • No, we are not going broke • We have a financial advisor, savings, retirement, college funds, and more. 🍽️ FOOD + DINING • 80–90 meals at home each month • We eat out for about 10–12 meals • We enjoy the full experience… apps, cocktails, desserts.. at nice restaurants. • We love supporting local businesses + tip 20–30% • Groceries are mostly organic + whole foods • I cook from scratch, bake bread, mill my own flour, grill, and more. I know how to cook. 📶 INTERNET + PHONES • Highest Starlink plan… our income depends on it • We’re not willing to risk losing high-speed data • Cheaper options exist… this is our choice 🚐 VEHICLES + PAYMENTS • Truck.. will be paid off in 4 months or less • RV… paying extra to pay it off early • We also have a paid off SUV we use daily (truck for travel days) 🏕️ CAMPGROUNDS • First 2 weeks (Keys)… more expensive • Last 2 weeks (Miami)… more affordable • Includes our Thousand Trails (~$255/month) 🏥 HEALTHCARE • No traditional insurance • Monthly membership for 24/7 integrative/holistic care for our family 🚗 PARKING + TOLLS • South Florida adds up quickly • Example… $30 for a few hours parking • Frequent tolls in Miami • Paid parking almost everywhere in the Keys 📦 MAIL • Higher this month due to larger packages. 🛡️ INSURANCE • Paid annually… shown as monthly breakdown 🧺 LAUNDRY • Higher this month… bought a used washer/dryer (~$250) • ~$30 before that at laundromats • Future cost will be minimal 🎟️ ENTERTAINMENT • Children’s museum, aquarium, and kid activities Yes… this is a lot, especially dining out. That’s something we enjoy right now and aren’t changing. You don’t have to agree… this is simply how we choose to spend our money.
