@_jennasayquoi: Amazing how a century and some change can change elitist American sentiment #victorian #victorianerafacts #History #historytok #victorianera
My grandfather was disowned for marrying my grandma who was an Irish Catholic. Just wild people got so angry over nothing.

Cincinnati is pretty Catholic to this day, though! German Catholics also settled there.

I know it’s years later…but *every* Irish person (sober or drunk) I’ve ever met ACROSS THE GLOBE has been atleast a great person— absolutely wild.

I think it is the greatest irony of US, as they hate immigrants just as much as they love calling themselves "true Americans" even thou they came from immigrants. Now, since you're talking about all this, how about you stop using "Americans" and just say US citizen. I do know it is longer, not as simple to say or think, but it is a growing frustration for all Americans, aka, people from the American Continent. I think it was a bigoted thought that turned US into America, erasing most American countries, making it seem as the only one that matters is US.

the Irish who settled in America sold their souls to appeal to whiteness and forgot their roots of fighting oppression and a strong sense of justice. Irish Americans have very little in common with modern Irish people. sorry, my little rant.
