To the people at Netflix,
Michael Jackson was a human being. A son, a father, a brother, and someone who spent his entire life under a level of pressure and scrutiny most people could never survive. He is not here anymore to speak for himself, defend himself, or even say “no” to this documentary. And that alone should matter.
No matter what people believe about him, there has to be a point where basic human respect comes before money, views, and controversy. Imagine having every mistake, every rumor, every painful moment of your life replayed to the world over and over again — even after your death. Imagine never being allowed to rest.
Millions of people loved Michael not because he was famous, but because his music helped them through loneliness, depression, childhood trauma, and some of the darkest moments of their lives. To many of us, he wasn’t just an artist. He was comfort, kindness, and hope.
So please ask yourselves honestly: what good comes from reopening all of this again? What healing does it bring? Or is it simply another way to profit from someone who can no longer protect his name?
If this documentary is released, a lot of us will lose respect for Netflix completely. Not because we “can’t handle criticism,” but because we expected more humanity from a platform with such a huge voice and influence.
Please let him rest in peace.
