The truth is: binge eating doesn’t start with lack of self-control. It starts with restriction: When you wait until you’re starving, your brain thinks there’s a famine. You don’t just eat, you overeat, then feel guilty, then restrict harder… and the cycle continues. What healed me was so simple but so powerful: ♥︎ Eat before hunger turns into urgency. ♥︎ If I have a dinner reservation but I’m already hungry before that, I’ll always have a small handful of nuts beforehand.
