the children part is whatever, point is just plan ahead, I have 3 with 1 more on the way and best believe I have PTO for everything my daughter is doing (she's the only one in school atm)

Everyone deserves PTO! As a parent though, We need full schedules at the beginning of the school year so we can plan in advance instead of finding out the week of. It’s a struggle.

I requested for days off 3 months ahead of time. My coworker asked me if I could switch the days that I requested off with her? My answer to her was a straight up HELL NO! And then I walked away.

At an old job i had at a social service agency day program, i would ALWAYS be the one that got stuck staying late when rides were late because i was the only one without kids. I had obligations, too

Field trips are usually mentioned a few weeks or sometimes months in advance. If you didn’t plan your time off then, idk what to tell you. 🤷🏼♀️
