I tried that & it’s absolutely exhausting bc I could never depend on her as a grandmother & mother. I got nothing in return. I couldn’t lean on her bc of her wounds.

it’s not rewarding, it’s just really draining having to mother your own mom. It also ruined my relationship with her because i can just never lean on her and she never made the effort to try and heal

I needed love and support after all the hurt she put me through. She knows what it’s like yet repeated the cycle. I prefer to disattach from her with love and indifference 🫶🏻

The more I do this, it’s just hurtful. It’s like the more I do this the more intense her negative energy feels. It’s not my duty to mend. I love her always but she has her own work to do.
