Honestly, I LOVE the movie way more than the book I just couldn’t get into the book at all. I read it twice and both times I hated it.

I know my grandmother read the book to me when I was still a kid (13) but I had fallen asleep while she was reading and I can’t remember anything about it except that she said Sophie was “mouthy” 😂

exactly! I read the book first and then found the out Ghibli made a movie and was so excited to watch it, but was initially disappointed. I love them both now, but man are they DIFFERENT!
