In three tries Alonso finished 21st, DNF, and didn’t even qualify one year in the 500. (He was on a major team btw and got bumped by a small team with no sponsors)

Mansell an Villenueve were champions. Montoya were OK, very few top f1 drivers go to indy

This is like assuming good rugby snd NFL players are interchangeable - they obviously aren't. Everything about F1 and Indy is different.
