HOW I GAVE UP SUGAR AND ULTRA PROCESSED FOODS…..and have no symptoms and feel fantastic at 50!! This keeps my blood sugars balanced, supporting my muscles and keeps me feeling full! My go to protein sources are: egg, chicken, turkey, salmon, Greek yogurt, quinoa; legumes, nuts and seeds. 3️⃣ I eat whole food, real, food. I got rid of any refined foods and focused on lean proteins, fibre, healthy fats, and complex carbs. I keep my recipes simple and cook with whole ingredients from scratch! 4️⃣ I changed my snacks from quick, easy fixes such as biscuits and protein bars to healthy options such as yoghurt and berries, apple and peanut butter, which satisfy me but don’t give the trash and burn after 5️⃣ I still enjoy sweet foods, but they are natural and keep me balanced. I include berries, watermelon, dates, kiwis. Natural sugars which satisfy without the energy brick wall after! We are what we eat and it’s never too late to make small changes that have a big impact on your health!
