Not a permanent fix if the light is on it is telling you a part needs replaced. That isn’t a fix.

All hes doing is clearing the code that your vehicle senors are finding. Does NOT fix the problem. The sensor he is using should tell you what problem it is though

that check engine light will come back on after you cycle the key a couple times. you didn't fix it.

you will get rid of it once but it will come back on when the computer on the car analyzes the problem again usually when you start the car again

Just because you turned the light off and the dashboard doesn’t mean the problem is gone the problem still exist in the engine. You have to find out what the problem is and fix it. That light will come back on eventually.
