Seated leg extensions Seated leg extensions in a simulator are an isolation exercise for the quadriceps and the anterior surface of the thigh. The stabilizing muscles are also used, moderate stabilization is carried out by the abdominal muscle group, the muscle that straightens the spine and by the bottom and middle parts of the trapezius muscles. Instruction • Adjust the simulator according to the length of your legs. Sit in the simulator and press your back firmly in to the backrest of the simulator. Grasp the handles, or the edges of the seat, to provide the body with a stable position. Bend the knees and place the ankles under the special rollers. • Straighten the legs at the knee joints until they are in a horizontal position. Then, slowly return to the starting position by bending the legs. Warning • Work slowly, without using inertial force. • Press your back firmly against the seat of the simulator. Do not rise up or move off the seat while performing this exercise. • Also, try to avoid pulling the handles of the simulator to assist the movement, just use your legs! • At the uppermost point of each repetition, press the thigh muscles as hard as you can. #fitnesstips #fitnessmotivation #Fitness
