Another thought. Valg don’t like humans. This is the real reason Rhys wants to keep the wall up. It’s the reason his family (if they existed) got rid of their human slaves. Humans can see through the Valg. I wonder if Julian knows. I can see him siding with Rhys in the first war to protect humans. The enemy of my enemy is my friend. Kind of thing. Also, I think Rhys has wyrdstone in his pockets and that’s why Az has headaches.

Megan, you realize this opens up the possibility that Rhysand had Nesta and Elain turned Fae, right?

👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 Rhys’s eyes turn black anytime he gets overtly emotional/angry and accidentally drops his glamour. I just cannot see a way he isn’t a valg king/ Erawan type. There’s a mountain of evidence and bread crumbs

Oohhh I like it 🤔 That makes Rhysand the big bad 😳 Tamlin does say at the HL meeting that Rhys is finally showing who he is. I would love this sooo much...
But then Rhys's redemption arc is "it wasn't me" and thats boring 🤣🤣🤣

Just some things to add!: “Rhys shrugged, smiling faintly. “Seems a far less destructive alternative to war.” “And yet here you are, having started it in the first place.” Rhysand’s blink was the only sign of his confusion.” We never really get an answer as to why Tamlin thinks Rhysand started the war. A shallow assumption would be because of the bargain and Tamlin is referring to the war between Tamlin and Rhysand in order to free Feyre of the bargain. But that doesn’t really account for Hyberns involvement. Further —“Look to the male sitting beside her. Ask what he stands to gain—what they stand to gain from this war, or lack of it. Would we fight Hybern, only to find ourselves with a Queen and King of Prythian?” Rhys let out a dark laugh. “Well played, Tamlin. You’re learning.”— now this is just supposed to seem like Tamlin is grasping at straws and trying to point fingers. But it is interesting when you consider Tamlin thinks Rhysand had a hand in starting the war. And it’s also interesting how quickly the IC and Rhysand were to condemn Jurien as evil. To discredit him (especially when it is Jurien that would know exactly what happened between Rhysand and Amarantha UTM—and who that “unknown Daemati” is, if they exist at all) could be why the Bone carver portrayed himself as Jurian and why it spooked Rhysand so much. It was showing him that he knew Rhysand was hiding something.

I always thought Rhys was prob one of the Erawan’s brothers. It’s said they were scattered after they were defeated I think.

I'm in the Rhys is Orcus and Feyre is Maeve train... the sister's, she can shapeshift, she can learn other people's magic, they are tied together and the only way she could escape the bond was by cutting off the way to Erilea.

He is Lilterally set up to be a moral compass of the other characters. This continueses debat that he’s a bad guy or a Valg is so unfounded. It was brought up in book 3 that if he wanted to he’d break all the high lords minds. Which if he was a bad guy or Valg he would have.

What if the king of hybern is the second son of the king of Adarlan, Dorian’s brother Hollin. Dorian questioned his humanity, Hollin was always a problem

Amarantha too, sounds very Valg. I think Rhys’s entire ploy was to get the cauldron (and the sisters) and he used both A and the KOH to do it. He’s a master manipulator there’s no way he just lucked out and collected all these powerful things. He’s 10 steps ahead

This is an excellent catch!! There are so few black eyed let alone nameless characters and for another king of a very ruined unhappy people who are looking to conquer is definitely being controlled by a Valg! I have to reread ACOTAR after my TOG reread!
