I am on the opposite end of this. I care deeply for a person that says this all the time. and I try so hard to get them to come over and plan things with them and it doesn't seem to work. they've made up their mind that nobody wants them....and make it a reality for themselves. 😩

I was in the hospital and terrified of dying. My family around the corner wouldn’t come…. A woman that I met one time drove across town to sit with me and let me snot cry onto her shoulder. When I watched my grandmother die, ex husband couldn’t care less. A dude I used to go to house parties with 15 years prior to that came and sat with me in the hospice parking lot. Most recently, I complete stranger saved my life. Good people are out there. Burn the bridges with the ones that only show up when they want something.

I learned this in therapy. My therapist had to tell me this. I was told to find like minded people and I was consistently choosing to surround myself with roses when I was a tulip. A tulip surrounded by roses will be stabbed with thorns.

I told my mom if I was in Canada I’d be signing up for euthenasia after my 30 year battle with bipolar and mental illness, she didn’t even respond to the text. I have been grasping at straws but they try nothing and are all out of ideas.

I felt this on so many levels. It's gotten to the point where I just don't trust anyone anymore. The last person I asked to show up for me when I wasn't even valuing my own life at that point in time just ended up treating me like a stranger in the end. I'd rather just be alone instead

It killed me when I reached out to my RL friends in our Discord server for help because I was struggling and immensely depressed. I didn’t even need someone to talk to, just someone to sit with me and tell me I was going to be okay. No response. I wasn't asking for much to be honest. I just wanted to gave reciprocating relationships. I was told the "only" relationship I needed was Jesus. Nobody is supposed to do life without human connection.
