Airport worker here and I can assure you that travelling with your pet in the hold of an aeroplane is not 100% safe. Here are a few examples of what I have seen: - The pilot was (supposedly) not informed that there was an animal in the hold, and therefore did not heat the hold: the dog died as a result. - Transport crates were not properly secured and fell during transfers and even in the hold (the animal was in shock for hours). - Transfer error during connection: you arrive in Geneva, your animal is in Hong Kong (and good luck getting it repatriated). - The crate opens during transfers at the airport and the animal escapes. Frightened, it runs around the apron, where it could either be killed or never found... So no, travelling in the hold is not safe.

I moved from Hawaii to Cali and had to put my dog under the plane. I was anxious the whole flight. I practically shoved everyone out of the way to get off the plane to go get him. Ops bf was just a weirdo.

a comment OP left on a different post clarifies that when he locked the cat out he meant outside the house not the room. "it was fine under a bush, some neighbourhood kids were trying to play with it". Also, every post hes made since is him doubling down and acting like they havent broken up.
