@mediaunlock: Why did Japan's new PM spark alarm in Asia? Why did Japan's new Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi trigger such shock with her recent remarks on Taiwan? Is China really "overreacting", as some Western critics say? Is Takaichi trying to please the US? We sat down with Victor Gao, chair professor at Soochow University, to unpack the historical, legal and geopolitical stakes behind Takaichi's provocative remarks. Key quotes from the interview: ·"Prime Minister Takaichi is in violation of that constitutional provision. In that sense, she's a criminal under Japanese law." · "How can Japan today imagine it can involve itself militarily against China? That will be the most serious crime you can ever think about. " · "The Americans are sophisticated enough to reach the conclusion that Japanese fascism should never be allowed to raise its dangerous head because it will not only be a menace to China. It will be a menace to the American people." #InsightsUnlocked

Japan have been quietly re-arming and strengthening their military for a long time. Japan navy is already the second most powerful in Asia. They now have half as many warships as Chinese navy. The militarization of Japan is a real threat to it's neighbours. Everybody must wake up.

as a local Japanese I can assure there's no way Japan is going to challenge china. we're not in 1940s anymore. younger gens know that Japan is absolutely no match against China. they know the real world far more than the older gens who still rely on newspapers and tv.

This guy is dreaming, Japan is the most technologically advanced nation in the world and if Japan starts to grow it's military, it will not take more than 5 years for its strength to triple china's military.

Veracious report :
The reality is that the U.S is trying to use Japan ( its colony) as a proxy to start a war in the South China Sea. The U.S doesn’t want direct confrontation with China and it is wiling and capable of sacrificing Japan and the Philippines just so that they can weaken China economicallly through a protracted proxy war with the intention of also damaging China’s pristine reputation in the global community. We must remember that the U.S has always destroyed its peer and rival. The U.S doctrine is about being the only power in the world. China needs to navigate through this web of deceit and ring of fire in the South China Sea with extreme foresight and play to win this game of Thrones. The East remembers. The Global south is solely behind China 🇨🇳

Revival of Imperialism Japan that Brutally killed 35 million civilians in China during WW2
Plus In 1972 peace treaty China gave up war reparation on the agreement Japan needs to agree One China and Japan agreed and Signed.
Takaichi breached the agreement. Very untrustworthy.

Never start a war—especially in Asia. This continent has endured immense suffering for far too long. Let us choose peace and unite to thrive, so we can make Asia great again.
When Europe descends into chaos, who truly benefits?
When both Europe and Asia are engulfed in turmoil, who gains?
Reflect deeply before igniting conflict. The consequences are irreversible.
We may never have another opportunity to rebuild and develop our nations. Let us prioritize harmony, progress, and shared prosperity for the future of Asia and the world.

Fully agreed with Prof Gao. If Japan were to become militarily-involved with China again, Japan will also become a threat again to the rest of her Asian neighbours and not to mention, the negative economic impact to the whole world.
